How do the subscription orders work?

Our summer season milk subscription runs for 24 weeks, from May 28th to November 5th. Subscriptions are available for on-farm pickup only, right from our dairy cooler, on every Friday between 12 noon to Sunday at 5pm. Cheese orders may also be placed for pickup on Tuesdays from 12 noon to 5pm (cheese only).

Unlike a conventional CSA “share” where you pay up front for the season, when you place a subscription order you will only be billed for one week at a time. Your order renews and you are billed each week automatically unless you cancel. You can cancel at any time with no penalty.

Can I change the quantity of my milk subscription order?

Yes, the offering for the gallon bottle of milk presents a drop-down for you to select an order size: 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 gallons, which will automatically update your per-week order price. You cannot change the order quantity for 1/2 gallon or quart, these item are limited to quantity of 1.

Do you offer a cheese subscription also?

At the moment our cheese is available for pre-order only, but not on a subscription basis (you can’t place an order that automatically renews). “Pre-order” simply means that we do not handle walk-up payments on-farm, you must purchase through our on-line store. Cheese orders must be placed two days ahead of the pickup day.

Can I pause my subscription? Or can I skip a renewal order?

These are slightly different questions. You cannot pause a subscription, meaning, skip a week and automatically add that week to the back end.

However, you YOU CAN SKIP a renewal date or dates, if you are going on vacation for example. Please contact us and we will do this for you. In this case you simply won’t be billed for the week/s you want to skip, and your subscription plan will remain intact (the weeks you skipped are not added back at the end).

How do I manage my subscription?

You can readily view and manage your subscriptions from your Customer Account. (Log in, click My Account, and then Subscriptions). From here you can view the details of your subscription, including the next order date (“renewal date”), price, order frequency, order history, saved billing and shipping information. The panel also displays the number of payments left in your subscription. When you place your subscription order you will receive an email that includes the link to Manage Subscription, and you can always use this link to log into your account.

Will I be notified before my subscription order renews?

No, you will not receive a notification before the renewal date, but when the subscription renews, you will receive an order confirmation email.

What happens if my payment fails?

When a customer payment fails, you and we will each receive an email notification. Your email will include a link to update your billing information. The charge will be attempted again five days after the initial failure, and then five days after that. If the payment fails for a third time, the order and subscription are cancelled.

Can I change my payment method?

You can change your payment information during your subscription (click Payment Method and then Update Payment Method). However, to change your subscription shipping address, you must cancel your subscription, and re-subscribe using different shipping details.

Where is the on-farm pickup?

 

We are located at 1601 Pughtown Road in Kimberton (Phoenixville) PA. Dairy pickup is directly from our dairy cooler (which is a different location from Sankanac CSA). Enter the main driveway for Camphill Village Kimberton Kills, “Camphill Drive”, and take the first drive to the right, “Farm Road”. Follow small signs to the Dairy. The cooler, with your farm-fresh, organic raw milk, and your artisanal raw-milk cheese, is behind the blue door!
